Description
This fascinating, decorative, hand painted wooden chest I have painted and decorated in Renaissance style. The box is deep enough for personal items and it has a decorative metal clasp. The main scene shows a cavalier sitting on a brown horse, he is holding a bouquet of flowers and a lady on a balcony is looking at him, she is very elegantly dressed. On the front of the box were painted big yellow-brown roses with big green leaves. On two sides of the box were painted identical Renaissance decorative ornaments. The main colour all around the box is dark, deep green with a bit of a burgundy shade. Underneath is painted black. In side the box – the bottom and the top – I have decorated with a black fabric, and also added dark burgundy decorative ribbon all around it with a hand made little black velvet bow on a corner. This box with Renaissance style looks very charming, elegant with appearance of an antique. The wooden box was decorated, painted, covered with a clear gloss varnish and comes signed by me. The box comes empty.
